Founded in 1973 by partners Joan Solà and Ramon Mena, SOME S.A. started its activity in San Quirze de Besora (Barcelona), as a subsidiary and provider company of the multinational S & P, dedicated to the production of metal parts and assemblies through the processes of cutting, stamping, bending, deep drawing, riveting and welding. The aim of the partners, once completed the first years of consolidation, was to obtain technically difficult products, turning into a real industrial plant what was born as a workshop.

In the 80s the company became a supplier of worldwide automotive customers, like REPA, KLIPAN, BROSE ... and of industrial electronics companies, such as HEWLETT-PACKARD and PANASONIC. From the hand of these companies of great potential SOME S.A. received the final push to establish itself, in the 90s, as a company dedicated to the full treatment of the metal sheet under very strict specifications, using the most advanced technological means and ensuring the supply of technically efficient and highly competitive products related in most cases to personal safety.

During the year 2000 was build the last enlargement of production plant in San Quirze: a new section specialized in manufacturing parts by progressive stamping of half tonnage (400T-500T) which meant a 50% increase in existing production surface area, passing to 12.400m2. The continuity of investments led to a further enlargement, in 2005, in the form of a 1.500m2 warehouse for finished products and to the implementation of SAP as reference ERP. The acquisition, in 2006, of the company MATRIX, specialized in manufacturing injection molds and stamping dies, and the creation a year later of the Polish subsidiary SOME KSW enabled the constitution of what today is known as SOME GROUP.

The new plant in LCC helps to give a final European projection to SOME group, being able to offer to customers a complete and adequate service to their needs. The mission is clear: meet the requests and requirements of the customers, manufacturing and selling our products with the quality required, the minimum cost, adequate service and optimum safety. To achieve this we are sustained by four basic pillars: RIGOR, TRANSPARENCY, ENTHUSIASM and FLEXIBILITY.
